Toronto Born Actress Jaida Grace: Checking Items Off Her Accomplishments List
Jaida Grace is a young up and coming actress from Toronto, Canada, who at 13 years old already has an impressive list of accomplishments. Last season, she booked the lead in a pilot, and recently booked a large principal role in her second feature film, which is currently on hold.
She has experience in commercials which includes working with Spinmaster Toys, and she also modeled for Anita Morris Models. Jaida has also performed in a live local tour for CBC Kids TV. Her experience comes from training privately and in groups weekly for three years at various acting schools in Toronto, Los Angeles and New York. Jaida was even invited to perform two solos on stage for Talent Nation. When it comes to acting, Jaida said, “I love putting myself in other people’s shoes and playing the character. I love being on set and meeting new peoples and playing roles with others and looking at scripts.” I wondered if it got any easier with time and experience, and Jaida told me, “Putting myself in other people’s shoes and memorizing scripts has gotten a lot easier for me.”
With all her time focused on acting, I wondered how she balanced her school life with acting. She told me that she was home schooled last year but will be going back to school this year. She mentioned that she gets most of her work done in class, so that gives her time to look at scripts outside of school time. And something that you may not know about Jaida is she loves working out and exercising. As far as upcoming projects, she’s got a movie coming up for ABC that has been put on hold due to coronavirus but that she has been doing, “…tons of auditions.” Life is quite busy for this upcoming actress, but she seems to be balancing it well and it will be interesting to see what her bright future has in store for her.
